Food insecurity impacts health across the lifespan and can lead to increased risk for chronic diseases. Compounding this, Black, Hispanic, and Native American households have higher rates of food insecurity and experience worse health outcomes compared to white households. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated both food insecurity and health disparities. This panel conversation led by healthcare industry leaders will discuss the impact of strategic partnerships with food, nutrition and healthcare organizations to bridge the gap between food insecurity, health outcomes and how addressing health disparities can improve the quality of care and lives of communities they serve.
