Director of Community at Center for Survivors of Torture
Kate Taylor works for Center for Survivors of Torture (CST) as development, communications, and social services associate. She is a graduate of UT Austin’s Steve Hicks School of Social Work and has spent the last 3.5 years concentrated on supporting the unique needs of people that have been displaced due to humanitarian crisis. In her role with CST, Kate has helped implement and sustain CST’s collaboration with The Cook’s Nook SEFAN program. Since May of 2020, CST has delivered more than 50,000 meals directly to immigrant survivors facing food insecurity in the central Texas area. Participating in this essential partnership to support our community members has been a highlight of Kate’s career and grounding force through the uncertainty of the last two years.
